Thank You TwoFoot Creative

This is in recognition of Ana Skidmore for all of her hard work and diligence to make TwoFoot Creative what it is today. Not only has she worked hard to build her successful wedding consultant business but she has also helped me to build my flower preservation business. I can't thank her enough for believing in my work and giving me the encouragement and support throughout the  journey.

Please take the time to look at her website and blog at http://twofootcreative.com

Alice & Mick, June 25, 2011

Alice and Mick's theme was "Alice & Mick's Wedding in Wonderland"
At the reception here and there was a red rose from the Alice in Wonderland theme.

It was a fairytale wedding with soft blush, white and pink roses with white peonies.
I couldn't resist having that rabbit and a red rose somewhere in the painting.

Malani & Jonathan, May 28, 2011

Malani and Jonathan had a beautiful Indian wedding as well as a traditional wedding. You can see their photos on TwoFoot Creative's website: www.twofootcreative.com/category/weddings

This is a photo of the bridal flowers just before I set them all in to a press to dry for 6 - 8 weeks.

This 24 x 36 painting was created for the parents of the bride. The background burgundy color was taken from the beautiful wedding invitations.

The bride and groom chose to have four 10 x 10 paintings so that they could either hang them separately in different places or all together. Hanging them together gives you many different options in how they can be hung.

These three photos are close-ups of the large painting.

Holly & Peter - May 6, 2011

The chargers and centerpieces had a beautiful antique golden look which I used in the green leaves and background of the preserved wedding flower paintings.
This is a sample of the Burgues Script, the font used in the seating chart which you can see in the detail of the stems and vines.
Six 10 x 10 paintings were ordered. Two of them will go to the parents of the bride and groom as a thank you gift.

Holly's bouquet was white peonies and blush and pale peach roses. She looked like such a beautiful China Doll that I wanted a very subtle background for the soft roses.

Holly liked the Burgues Script in their seating chart and requested that being reflected in the paintings.

Shawn's Wedding Flowers Preserved

Shawn and Corey's wedding had both a nautical theme since Corey is in the Coast Guard and a Irish theme with Shawn's only request being Bells of Ireland as part of her bouquet.
The bridesmaids wore champagne dresses with black sashes.
Shawn's shoes were a beautiful shade of teal blue.
So . . . I arched the Bells of Ireland like the arch of swords in their ceremony and used a light metallic champagne background. I added the deep teal vines to mimic her lovely shoes. This painting was done on a 16 x 20 canvas.

Stacie & Joe May 21, 2011

Stacie and Joe were married at Cobblestone Farms, Ann Arbor, Michigan. It was an outdoor wedding and Stacie wanted her flowers and painting to reflect that like flowers growing in a field. This painting was done on a 12 x 12 gallery wrapped canvas.

Ana with Sun Flowers

My daughter just celebrated her birthday. I had been saving one of my favorite photos of her when she was just a toddler. We had planted sunflowers in our front yard and Ana came out to enjoy the garden in the apron that I had made for her out of recycled jeans. I had embroidered "Mommy's Little Helper" on the front. I made a small painting from the photo and gave it to her for her birthday.
