Red Geraniums Acrylic on Canvas

My cousin saw a painting she loved of red geraniums that she wanted to hang in her new kitchen. So I drew the image on canvas and changed the background to black like she requested and then created a different pot. This is a 15x30 canvas with a 1 1/2 inch depth done in acrylic and sealed with a satin base acrylic.

Beth & Andy, September 6, 2009

Beth's flowers were delicate soft pink roses, white roses and stephanotis which were preserved and painted on a 12x12 canvas.

Amy & Ryan, September 19, 2009

Amy & Ryan wanted a set of four 8x8 paintings to group together or apart. Since they planned on hanging them in their baby girl's room, it was fun to make them a little whimsical but using the colors of the room, pink, green and white.

I used lime green spider mums for grass with cockscomb. Pink gerberas were placed on each chair at the wedding in memory of Amy's mother and then later collected and put in a large vase for the reception.

Pink Ginger Flowers dried nicely. To the right a side view of the four canvases.
