The chargers and centerpieces had a beautiful antique golden look which I used in the green leaves and background of the preserved wedding flower paintings. This is a sample of the Burgues Script, the font used in the seating chart which you can see in the detail of the stems and vines. Six 10 x 10 paintings were ordered. Two of them will go to the parents of the bride and groom as a thank you gift. Holly's bouquet was white peonies and blush and pale peach roses. She looked like such a beautiful China Doll that I wanted a very subtle background for the soft roses. Holly liked the Burgues Script in their seating chart and requested that being reflected in the paintings.
Shawn and Corey's wedding had both a nautical theme since Corey is in the Coast Guard and a Irish theme with Shawn's only request being Bells of Ireland as part of her bouquet. The bridesmaids wore champagne dresses with black sashes. Shawn's shoes were a beautiful shade of teal blue. So . . . I arched the Bells of Ireland like the arch of swords in their ceremony and used a light metallic champagne background. I added the deep teal vines to mimic her lovely shoes. This painting was done on a 16 x 20 canvas.
